>>775negative, I rub a potato against my forehead to access the Wired.
when my forehead gets sore though i guess i use this thing. that fuarking monitor cost way too much of my head earned shillings and if it weren't so luxurious to sit in front of and use I'd have committed seppuku from the shame of blowing enough money to buy a used car on it…
little toshiba nb100 has a 2tb hdd grafted to the back of the lcd lid using velcro and normally works as one of my offsite backup mirrors, it's only on my desk at the moment to do a full replication before it goes back to work to leach off their fiber connection.
not pictured; a couple of rpi's and a thinkpad x201, and my x240 work machine.

>>779I honestly don't think I will. I like portability. Of course I'll make sure that any laptop I get will run Linux perfectly. But I really think I'm done with desktops.

>>781Someone else here.
I gradually turned my desktop into a Windows-only console. Indeed I see no use to use anything but a well rounded Linux laptop for all my work and non-gaming needs.
I might closet the desktop altogether once the GPU can't keep up since I barely play games nowadays anyway.
Fuck I love this site's CSS.

If I need lots of processing power, cloud services or "borrowed" desktops work for that purpose.

>>792I had dual screens (triple actually) previously and have dual screens at work. A full uninterrupted 3440x1440 in resolution is fucking glorious and in my experience has been vastly superior for almost all tasks. I would fight and kill to keep that monitor. I love it and it loves me.
>>792>>793lololol I train in knife fighting (amongst many other things) and having something with a low cost-of-fuckup to keep my hands moving without scaring people or leaking cranberry juice everywhere with a sharp knife is nice.
