I'd like for when my laptop on boot up prompts for a password that a alternate password could be entered that opens a separate environment as to circumvent things like this:

The feature you're looking for is called a hidden volume. Veracrypt supports it and you can do it with LUKS. I think plausible deniability is a soykafty thing to rely on, however.
