I took inspiration from it. I wrote the top part, although it sounds similar to the one from /kind/. The template is copied and adapted. My main motivation for making this thread here is because there's no total overlap between people who post on 8chan and Arisuchan. I thought it could be fun!

I don't play much vidya, but I'm quite fond of roguelikes, I played a bit in the past Nethack and Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup. I also like arena ego-shooters. I do like open-source software a lot.

Not clearly defined, I like quite much, genres I like are: ambient, classical, pop, rock, instrumental, soundtrack music. Basically mostly stuff that's instrumental or has interesting patterns. I like music that makes me feel something. For example music that conveys a particular emotional moment in someone's life. I also like Operas very much.

I do mostly like technical books, but I also often read books on various subjects, like languages, mathematics, philosophy, history. If visual novels count as books then my favorite ones are Saya no Uta, Steins Gate and Higanbana.

None, I don't watch TV series.

Ideally I want to have something like that (when we talked for a long time): a person you're comfortable with talking, while being open with you and you can understand how he feels about this. You're on one wavelength, you basically can complement his thoughts when he says something. You do care deeply about him. It feels special to you! You're excited that you're able to talk to him. It isn't something that's like love, it's something that has a connection, something that doesn't feel like just another meaningless relationship in the abyss, it isn't a mask that you put in on yourself to act a certain way for reaching common ground with your friend, it's that's how you feel you genuinely are. This isn't something that feels like a process to you, it's something that does feel like something which is in itself sustainable. What I mean with that it's not something external that made you feel this way to reach this position you're in now. It's something you wanted to have without any external dependencies, for example you didn't want to be friends with him because you felt like wanting a friend for gaming, you wanted to realize more the internal idea you had in mind, you wanted to see it in not only in your mind but also as something that really happened in your life.

It's not the act what you're doing that gives it the essence it needs, it's the intent in why you're doing the act. This is the important distinction I want to express to you. Maybe you can't understand what I mean. Maybe you can, maybe you have thought about this in that form somewhere in your life or maybe you wanted to have something like that in you life but didn't know how to reach it.

It does can include something like relationships (like deeply loving each other, hugging each other, kissing each other), but the feeling here is something that is separate from that, it's something that does probably often occur in relation to that, but it's not created by the other thing. It's something that stands on it's own, it's an atomic element that can be used for building in what you want to have. It's like pure gold, but it often doesn't occur in pure form, often it's dirty and unclean because things could never work like this between all people.

In short a deep connection with somebody which I can be really comfortable with and the other feels the same about me. I don't mind if it would be romantic, though I can't guarantee that, it depends a lot on how you are and what you want. In short if you think you could do it or if you feel that you want to try, don't hesitate to contact me and we'll see how far we can go.

I definitely wouldn't want to make friends with people who like 'comfy' or 'nice' and post kawaii desu ne anime shoujos to signal their friendly intention. My experience with these people is that they are 100% always every god damn time mentally unstable, clingy and needy, or batousoykaf insane. Most people intuitively realize this and avoid such people for friendship. As such, they are only found by other people like them, but their friendship will feel hollow as fuck as a clingy person can't cling on another clingy person.

With that in mind, your options left are those lowest-common denominator people who are friends with everyone but by extension won't have as much time for you, or rude/brash/raw fellows who get nauseous from the niceness, but are willing and able to talk about non-superficial stuff.

Different people want different things, with that in mind, I think what you're looking for is quite weird from my perspective. I was one of these people who was more clingy in the past. Because I viewed friendships as something that should have value, something people don't get much in real life when having a job, interacting with co-workers, it's not the same as what I felt I wanted. You want someone you can "seriously talk about things" but simultaneously don't want them to be clingy, of course that can be done, but what would be different from talking with people on imageboards and from making "friends" in real-life? Keep in mind that I mean with "clingy" someone who does care about you and would be worried if you would stop talking with them abruptly.

Let's say you see a person, with everything you wanted in a friend. Why would they be friends with you? What makes it different than talking with strangers? Of course, you don't meet an intelligent person all day, but you can still find people on imageboards, who you might be able to have a deep conversations with. For me it just seems like a waste of time to express my thoughts to somebody I don't have any attachment to, that's why there are these lowest-common denominator people, they don't have much time for you, don't really care about you and just talk with you when they feel bored. Aren't emotional people naturally more clingy, isn't the act of "having more time for you than for other things" taking you as some for of emotional attachment?

Besides the people who posted here seem mostly OK. Why don't you try with them?

I've added some people and a person added me. It depends on how compatible you are with the other person and how much you both invest in the friendship. Usually it feels "natural" and you know it and can feel it when you talk with somebody whom you're very compatible with. I started talking to a couple of the people in this thread, and I don't want to insult anyone but some of you are hard to keep a conversation going with. It has to be a two-way street where you put effort into the conversation as much as the other person.

All this is to say, I highly doubt anyone in this thread is a truly boring person who wouldn't be a great friend, but there are certain talkative-ness levels you have to match. If you aren't letting your colors shine and stay in your shell people aren't going to see what a great person you are.

Initially in meeting a new friend, there is a certain level of almost performative-ness to it. You are showing off what kind of person you are and what things you care about to see if the other person is a match for you at your very best. Most friends are going to be ok with you being boring if they know about what you are like when you aren't being boring. But you have to SHOW what you are like at your best to the other person. This can be hard if you are in a depressive slump but, idk. Just my two cents, I didn't have time for people who weren't putting in an effort sadly. I'm sure they are good people regardless.

I'm still waiting for my first contact. I think I might have undersold myself.

Relationships aren't that logical and calculative, Arisu. It's because we try to think and apply cold, harsh logic to people that we fail and stutter up. People are warm and emotionful, unreasonable and unlogical, getting along with people is something much more than just talking, it's about talking to the soul. There are some people who you can be friends with and who you get along with, and there also those friends who truly get you and you get them, and I think we should all strive to be bestest friends possible, whether we are able to understand each other or not. It isn't easy, but I think the best way to do this is to just throw away embarrasment and talk about whatever comes to your mind.

We always think the entire day about so many different things that at the end of it we fall asleep and forget them. And very often we also think about having conversations with people, imaginary conversations which we wish we could use on real people, so this is what you should do. There is no logical path to making friends, it's something that you must do without thinking!
