/Unauthorized Access General/

So Lains, Unauthorized Access? Its the fastest way to access onsite systems and computers. As well as cool gear.

What to wear.
High Visibility clothing, or what ever work-wear is normal where you're.
Embroidered vests/shirts/paints all can be found at Recycling shops, valuable as hell.
Check parking areas near work sites, you can sometimes find some stuff employees wont let go of easily, head-wear mostly, but rarely someone will drop an ID Card.

Act like you belong, being in high Visibility or work-wear makes you almost invisible, an irony so sharp it can kill.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ActLikeYouBelong/
Not many sites to help with this. Reddits the best I got. Relax and act like you should be there, remember to read up on social engineering and other concepts.

Remember, get in, get out, don't come back.

Anyone done much of it? Got any tips or ideas for others? Comments or changes to the above?

As a tech working across a multitude of sites around the country I've gotten access into so many places I didn't belong. Some of my favorite hijinks:

Parking in the goods loading dock of Hospitals and walking straight in. What's even worse was that the security code to get into the PABX room of that hospital was written in pencil on the door frame…

Getting into Supreme Courts with a full toolbag including knives less than a week after a high profile Judge was stabbed and killed in the courts. That's after putting it through the X-Ray machines.

My colleague and I talking our way into the comms room/data centre of a 'secure' location, only bailing out at the last minute when we realised we were actually at the wrong fuarking street address. I think we came close to being shot at that day. It was one of those unlabeled buildings with angled outer walls and no windows kinda dealio. Fun.

Not really related, but one evening I was doing long exposure photography out on the docks and a two and a half minute long exposure revealed the entire shape of a submarine in construction that wasn't yet full public knowledge including the tailfin/submarine propeller which are kinda important. At the time the sub design wasn't fully public and they were only working on them at night under subdued lighting. When I saw that on the screen of my camera you fucking bet I cheesed it out of there pretty fast.

I'm sure I'll remember some more but those stick out the most.

I used to deliver sandwiches for jimmy johns and nothing will get you in like a JJ T-shirt, some food, and a name. our store even had what we called the black book containing every access code we had ever been given. I could get in and out of the high risk psyc ward in the hospital and even some government buildings. the best part is that looking dumb and lost is expected whereas with a high vis vest its not. worst case scenario you just ask for the bogus name and they tell you they probably work in another department. come to think of it JJ is the best infiltration job i can think of, 0 experience required, they hire a lot of part time, and unlike pizza it gets order for lunch (bonus: it pays well, with tips i made average $15/hour).

That's pretty clever man, I never would have thought of that…

I can back up 100% of what this man says. Currently delivering and realized I can go basically wherever i want. What should I do with this power?

That data-center you mention sounds like it was a SCIF. (Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility)
If this was near the submarine or in the same area, it may have been related to the project.

In my soykaf country some of the fast food joints don't allow you to use the restroom unless you are a customer. The only alternative is paying for it, which is BS. Whenever I need to use the restroom in a restaurant where you have to be a customer, I just walk in and raise both of my hands in front of my torso just like they are oily and I am avoiding touching stuff, then ask one of the staff for the restroom. Works every single time.

Other than that didn't really have the need to penetrate a location.

>>759
You'll be interrogated and they will do a detailed background check on you to make sure you are not an actual penetration. And once they figure out you are just an average joe there will be some legal repercussions to make sure you don't try stupid soykaf like that ever again and then they will send you home.

Don't they usually print the access code for bathrooms on the receipts? Just look around for empty tables and in trash bins for example.

Once I was in a poorer region in my state. There was a community event that had the whole town's involvement and attention. I possessed skills and tools of the security trade so I figured just for sport I would attempt breaking into a jail. Now you might expect Medeco or Adams Rite or even a good ole Best lock to secure such a facility? No none of that expensive stuff all it had was a consumer grade Schlage.

I had it open in less than a minute. I opened the door then the thought occured what if it was staffed or theres a camera so I closed back the door and that was that.

To use the restroom, just tailgate someone, perhaps eyes glued to your phone so it looks like you're a zombie and employees don't realize what you're doing.

I do it all the time, it's very easy.

Would love to see more of this, not for intention of social engineering, but more into leisure borrowing more on the color palettes of these work uniforms and apply them with a different silhouette.

An example of how this could work with a bit more color. It fits with the flashy caution orange we're used to seeing on construction workers.

You can also go the other way and dress and act like a hobo. Especially if your area has a moderate homelessness problem, not only will most people not mess with you, they'll actively avoid you.

Easy way to spend a lot of time in one location without looking suspicious (e.g., for scouting).
