I'm not sure when I'm bringing back the Friday night /cyb/security meetup. If anyone would like to pick it up for me, go ahead. I've been really busy as of late with school and I'm horrible with time management, so Fridays and the weekend end up being for things I procrastinated on.

Please join the IRC (#arisuchan on irc.freenode.net) and PM me, onikuma, if you'd like to run it temporarily until I can sort out my school work and life responsibilities.

I can't come sadly i kinda fuck up my own reputation, but I'm actually recommending people to go there the idea is really great, and what a good way to keep up with the practice and information then sharing all together.

As long as i remain anonymous on the board i can provide link for people that want them that Onikuma posted on the original thread.

Yeah same, i was actually investing my time into it. I saw it like a lecture club. I'm still going to be there next friday you never know.

Is anyone on outside the usual hours?

I can't usually make the scheduled time.

What is the ideal time for you?

 No.2001

I'm still looking for someone to reliably take over the program for a one night on Friday / the weekend. I'm currently not in the position with school and some other infosec opportunities on my plate. Please private message me in the IRC (#arisuchan), the username is onikuma.

I couldn't make it this friday, yet i believe there wasn't that much people. Most of the time there lurker coming in and out.

Don't we have other mods into pentesting that could take over the progam?

Anyone here interested in bringing back the /cyb/security meetup? I wasn't able to participate in the previous meetups due to my job and life circumstances at the time but that's gonna change in February.

 No.2404

I am really interested personally. I miss you guys.

I could always start it up again, but Onikuma had way more knowledge then i had on the subject.

2 or 3 people would be a good start to launch it back.

If you start it up, I have a break from university for the next 6 weeks and would be very interested too. I have to admit thought that I'm not an expert

It's going to depend again on what everyone schedule is.

I'm think Friday or Saturday once a week could be great.

Hey everyone, Onikuma here. I've been pretty AWOL from the board for a while now except for the occasional pop-in to clean up stuff. I'm interested in starting this back up as well and the time seems to fit well.

Everyone just input your preferred days and we'll take a look at what is the most popular. I personally would prefer something along the lines from Thursday to Saturday.

Hey guys, one more update & bump for this thread considering its community interest and times.

It seems quite a few of you are in Europe / Not America. We're still looking for best proposed times and I'd feel bad if the only way any of you can join would be to wake up at 6am or some other ludicrous time.

Everything is still up for discussion, but the preferred days of the meetup from us mods are Thursday through Sunday. Give us some times translated to UTC and we'll see what we can do.

 No.2537

>>2505
sorry for the late reply, I think times up to 2am in Europe would be good, that must be around 1:00 UTC

 No.2540

02:00 A.M seems pretty late for most European. Is there other European that can attest this times with fits them better?

Anything from 8pm-12pm, Friday through to Saturday suits me. Not active on irc, but I've lurked here and on lainchan for quite a few years. Hopefully can learn something :)
