Though I don't buy into it completely, my mother works for a HIGHLY important Doctor in alternative medicine. I won't disclose any details, but you can ask about anything pertaining to GMO's, Vaccines, Energy healing, and other stuff.

Define "alternative medicine".

Holistic medicine. Basically, illness would be caused by a problem elsewhere in he body. Solving the root problem cures the disease.
I went to the office with a fever, and there was this machine that he hooked me up to. On a computer there were names of organs (possibly in German) and a line going below a par. I had a below average body in almost all my organs. He attributed it to gut parasites. He says the most common "true" problems are Dental issues and parasites.

I'm interested in hardware and software running on that computer. Is it free software? If not, then why? Has anyone tried to reverse-engineer it and does it actually measure anything in patient's body?

I have a question regarding a sleeping disorder.

Specifically, how do you sleep at night knowing that you're peddling nonsense at best, and delaying people from seeking genuine medical care at worst?

"I want to make a whole lot of money from desperate sick people but I don't want to put in the time and effort to study real medicine, and I don't want to have any of the moral and legal responsibilities that comes with people entrusting their health to me."

>Holistic medicine
Wikipedia leads me to 'Mind-body interventions' which are defined by the NCCIH(?) as "practices that "employ a variety of techniques designed to facilitate the mind's capacity to affect bodily function and symptoms" ".
I mean the mind does have a huge influence on the body but what is your treatment?
My problem is that there is no universal, or close to, technique to treat the mind, it is too personal
>He says the most common "true" problems are Dental issues and parasites.
And airborne diseases, that's true.

What about vaccines?

I don't agree with this stuff which I have made clear. At the same time, I am simply explaining the other side. The only details I won't disclose is about the Doctor himself. Also, they aren't wrong about EVERYTHING . It makes me go crazy sometimes, but I swear I have seen people cured of diseases they should of died from. I hope people won't choose
their Doctors simply from this post. Do what you believe will help. I also know for a fact conventional Doctors help too. My Father was one. I am not a preacher. I just want people who are interested t learn about new stuff. It's quite interesting. Besides, you can use this to debunk arguments and give people the care you think they need.

Regarding MBI's: This is true. People that buy into alternative medicine probably are desperate to get better. I would think they would find ways to make themselves happy, but I would say meditation helps people a lot. It is personal though.
Also, Vaccines are controversial my mother would say in no/maybe, the Doctor would say maybe. This might be the fault of Doctor Mercola, who is a close associate. I say get your vaccines. Better safe than sorry

Stemming from the belief of a German (My theory of this being German technology is correct) that humans are bio-cybernetic and have photon energy fields (Like an aura/chakra) which can be attributed to different parts of the body. These are called meridians and this is the philosophy of acupuncture. This simply sees those eastern energies as literal. This is basically electronic acupuncture. He uses an ohmmeter to measure electrical resistance of these meridians. Strangely, it is not measured in Ohm's, but an instead a made up one unknown to me. The only place to get one of the exact type I used is from some Canadian seller whose name I don't recall. I'll look into. I don't see a point in trying to use it for a different reason, it only rads your body. It is called Acupuncture Median Assessment.

Typos:
The unit of measurement is unknown to me.
I'll look into the seller.
It reads your body, not "rads" it.

What is true?

Can you elaborate?

You said to ask anything but you barely answer anything…

What's the most craziest thing that you know for sure works from alternative medicine? Is there an actual cure for autism and mental disorders?

>What is true?
Mindy body Interventions. The brain DOES indeed effect the bodies physical condition.
>You said to ask anything but you barely answer anything…
All you asked was "What about Vaccines."
The Doc thinks Vaccines are only healthy in small amounts. As in getting a flu vaccine, but avoiding the hepatitis one. He doesn't talk about it much.
>>291
This ain't too crazy, but it helps preventing diseases from the future. NEVER get metal in your teeth. I understand correlation does not equal causation, but so many sick people that come in have fillings/root canals. Hell, even a gangster with gold teeth came in. Something crazy? I'll explain in greater detail later as I forgot the name, but it involves people eating a bunch of chocolate while attached to some chemical to fight cancer. You can't save everyone, but I would talk to people who got cured, At least for a little bit. I have not seen people return to clinic too often.

 No.296

>>295
>I have not seen people return to clinic too often.
"Didn't come back to the clinic often" doesn't automatically equate to "The treatment worked and they're now healthy and happy."

There's two potential alternatives: those former patients started seeing real medical professionals who actually apply science, or those former patients died because the treatments they received from this quack voodoo nonsense prevented them from seeking treatment until it was too late.

 No.297

>>296
I always thought that might be the case. I think it's the former, if people "don't want help" (hysterics, skeptics, addicts, etc) They are told to seek a conventional practice. I only heard of two people dying at the practice though

.>>291
I asked about the full details about the treatment. Firstly, I got the idea very wrong. I guess it's just crashing your sugar levels super-low. Secondly, it doesn't always work. It's hard to differentiate the view of the workers from the Doctor's, but I assume the best way to get better is probably some mental thing like "fix your energy" or some dumb thing like that. I did not see the part about Autism/Mental disorders. Their have been some autistic patients who are starting to integrate better with society. I'll try to find about their treatment.
>>292
Same for you. I will try to find a treatment. It probably also will be one of those "cured once your energy is fixed" kind of thing.

 No.298

>>287
>I don't agree with this stuff which I have made clear.
Do you also make this fact clear to the clinic's paying patients?

 No.299

>>283
That's not holistic. Holistic would be something like "the illness is caused by something in the omniverse". If you just restrict the source of the illness to the human body, it's some anthropomorphic stuff, not holistic.
Also what's up with "somewhere else"? Like where is "not somewhere else"? Where is a fever before it is caused by 'somewhere else'? Where is a depression? Is my broken leg caused by my lungs? Is it in my lungs?

These are serious questions, please don't avoid them just because they are not convenient to answer.

>These are serious questions, please don't avoid them just because they are not convenient to answer.
Avoiding inconvenient questions is one of the characteristic traits of quack snakeoil peddlers since the dawn of human society.

 No.303

There's traditional medicine that works and then there's new age garbage like reiki and homeopathy, and since the media has been lumping them all together for decades, it's impossible to talk about it rationally in places like this. The fedoras just shout you down about le scientific proof xD but none of them have a clue about science either so it's kind of pointless to engage.

stay away from that soykaf. it' this "new germanic medicine"-scam by hamer who claimed he can cure cancer with this holistic bullsoykaf. every single patient died exept for those who made it out (there was this infamous case in the 90s when parents of a child wanted to treat her with his method and child services recovered her half dead from the parents, treated her traditionally and she survived).

No, that is actually what holistic means in this sense. Holistic just means looking at a whole system. The whole system here is the body, not all of creation.

 No.445

>>444
>Holistic just means looking at a whole system
Even if we restrict it so, the body is not a closed, isolated system. It's in constant contact with and depends on other bodies, the environment they build and maintain, and parts of the environment that just happen to be there.

 No.446

>>445
Alice, what you seem to be missing is that "holistic medicine" is an actual term that refers to an actual movement in the field of medicine.

 No.447

>The fedoras just shout you down about le scientific proof xD

Scientific proof is kind of a big deal, especially when you're dealing with medicine. You don't get to just not justify your positions by calling everyone who disagrees with you an ignorant neckbeard.

 No.448

Sorry for not responding. My computer is broken and I decides to do more productive stuff with my life. Anyhow, I tried to find answers to all of these questions. In the end, it's all bullsoykaf. Treatment is truthfully one idea in the end, "Get better". They tell you all these ways to prevent getting sick, and if you get sick…I don't even know. Meditate? Pray? Maybe a placebo will make someone content with their lives. The reason I fell into this is because my mothet got into a car accident. She had rheumatoid arthritis for the next two years and gained alot of weight. She quit her job at a traditional practice and found "The Doctor". A little later, she stopped feeling pain. Somehow her arthritis was cured. I tried to find out the exact procedures, but I'm would never get a clear answer. I thank all the skeptics on the thread for defending what's right. I'm sorry for people with questions that I couldn't answer. In the end, I just don't know.

 No.449

Sorry for being a phonefag too

You didn't even read the rest of the post. Besides, if you think science trades in "proof" you aren't qualified to discuss science to begin with. Science takes all possible data and comes up with the most plausible answer until more data is available. So called "proof" is antithetical to scientific principles.

This is exactly what I was talking about.
