I often lose stuff, a device like Tile or some other tracking device could come really in handy.
However with these devices your not in control of your data and its probably used commercially.

Tracking device are in nature pretty invasive. I look but it would be pretty fucking crazy to see tracking device that doesn't collect anything. Doesn't mean it does not exist, but unless you do something along the line of DIY I don't really believe you will find something.
