I just created a new channel to share my love of idm and introduce more ears to the genre. I really don't hear how any other type of music could better qualify as cyberpunk. I hope you enjoy what I have so far.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNmP3O_cry3XftvOlGoJNTQPlease share your favorite idm/glitch tracks as well.

The Nine Inch Nails album Year Zero is full of glitchy beats.
Bonus: It's even a cyberpunk concept album.

I understand that glitches are very /cyb/ aesthetically… just like milky marble titties, plastic looking hamburgers and Windows 98 is very vaporwave.
So there's still IDM, and what really makes it cyb is really just the I as in AI. I always thought of intelligence as just complexity without purpose - when you pick some goal or purpose for that intelligence, you basically trim away parts of it that are useless in achieving your goal.
This means that music which aims to do or be something is less intelligent than what it could be. Whether this aim is a genre, or a specific effect on the audience, it will eventually do its job and cease being interesting - if it does its job well, it's hard to find new meaning in it. While there are astonishingly smart pieces serving this or that purpose, I'm lead to believe that the most intelligence is found in experimental stuff - the one label people seem to throw on things that they can't really fit under labels.
While my taste may not be what I described above, here's a few artists I can recommend:
squarepusher , the flashbulb , clark , oneohtrix point never , uziq , plaid , patten , aphex twin , andy stott
At least half of these guys have been, or are signed to Warp Records, so I expect to find more cool soykaf there. There's also Rephlex.
